Finding Work Experience Placements in Year 10

Work experience placements in Year 10 are extremely helpful for many students. They are able to learn more about the world of work and start to find out how to change as a person to go from student to employee. This can also give students a chance to find out whether they are suited for their dream job or whether there is something else that they’d like to do.

There are many companies that are able to offer work experience placements for Year 10 students and you can find most of them through online searches. You could also consider going into stores and businesses near you to find out whether they’re willing to let you do your placement there.

Rolls Royce is just one company that is willing to allow 14 to 19 years olds to do a placement with them. The company works around the country, which will benefit many students. The placements with Rolls Royce are for those who have a passion for engineering and most of the students will be placed in the engineering side of the business. However, there are also some for those who are more interested in the business side of the company. There is no pay for this one week placement.

The Eden Project is another company that is willing to accept those in Year 10 looking for a placement for the week. There are unpaid roles in a variety of areas, including education, hospitality and retail. The Eden Project does have a set time for their placements, during May and July of each year, but they are willing to accept students outside of that time too.
