Applying for Tesco delivery driver jobs

There are a number of things you must consider before you start applying for Tesco delivery driver jobs. Firstly and most obviously, do you have a driver's license? Tesco requires that you have been driving for a certain amount of years before you can apply for one of their delivery driver positions. Depending on the store you apply to, this could be anything from two to five years. Whilst they don't require you to have a clean driving license (e.g. points on your license due to speeding offences) it may hurt your application if you do have such convictions, especially if there are applicants with similar experience to you with clean licenses.

Remember being a delivery driver isn't just a driving job. You will also be meeting with customers throughout your day and unloading their goods for them. Consider if you have any medical complaints that may make this kind of work difficult before you apply.

You can pop into your local Tesco store to enquire about any available positions, but it's much quicker and easier to apply online. The following sites all show if there are any available positions in your area and all link to the application process.

  • jobisjob.co.uk/tesco-driving/jobs

Make sure that your CV really highlights the experience you have in this area and craft a covering letter that really details your strengths. If you are successful with your application, you will be invited for an interview. Remember to dress smartly, as first impressions really do count. Don't worry about being nervous, your interviewer will expect this and won't mark you down because of it.

Good luck with your application!
