If you're searching for jobs in a factory in Cardiff then this is for you...

While the number of people employed in factories these days is certainly decreasing due to the improved quality of automated work, it is still an option that exists for many people trying to get back into the work force. Traditionally factory work has been poorly paid gruelling work with long hours and unimpressive facilities, but modern day health and safety regulations have ensured that there has been a massive improvement on that front in the past few decades.

One of the best things about regular entry level factory work is that little experience is often required - you should be able to get started and settle into your new role with as little as an hour or two's worth of training.

The work certainly isn't for everyone though. Repetitive menial tasks can often drive many people to despair, but if you have the ability to turn your brain off and simply go straight into autopilot mode, then there is a good chance that you'll be able to make a real go of factory work.

When it comes to actually finding jobs in a factory in Cardiff things aren't quite as straightforward as you might have expected from other jobs. Due to the high turnover in many of these positions it's likely that many available roles won't be advertised. This means that you'll need to stay in the loop, register your interest in advance, or just be lucky to get your foot in the door.

You can make this a little easier by popping round to some of the industrial estates in the Cardiff area and enquiring about the availability of work though. Splott Industrial Estate, Execelsior Industrial Estate, Portmanmoor Road Industrial Estate and Tremorfa Industrial Estate are all worth a visit given the fact that they each house multiple businesses. For an entry level job in this kind of factory work you can expect to earn between £6.10 and £7.20 per hour, depending on the kind of work that will be expected of you.
