You can get jobs with a beauty and hair salon by working for RUSH

You can get jobs within a beauty and hair salon at RUSH. RUSH has just under 60 salons. They have many awards, including being one of the top 100 places to work.

In 1995, RUSH was established by Andrew Phouli and Stelios Andrew. RUSH has three promises to their customers: love (perform styles you will love), listen (will always listen to customers’ requirements), and lead (to be at the forefront of the hairdressing and beauty industry). You may see opportunities available at a RUSH beauty and hair salon range from stylists to beauty therapists.

To work as a stylist you must have NVQ level 2 in hairdressing, and have the ambition to want to further this. Good interpersonal skills, knowledge, and experience of styling cuts and colours are required. You must be able to listen to customers and advise them on what you would like to do with their hair, imparting your knowledge on suitable colour, cut and products to use. You must be willing to direct junior hairdressers with cuts and colours, and provide them with guidance on what they are doing. As a stylist, sales targets will need to be met, and you are expected to attract more clients. You will also be expected to contribute to the upkeep of the salon.

As a beauty therapist, you will be expected to have an NVQ level 3 in beauty and having experience with brands, such as Elemis, would give you an advantage. There are other requirements, which are the same as those required of all staff. For example, being aware of health and safety issues relating to customers’ well-being and the therapy you are undertaking. Willingness must be shown to attend internal and external training courses.

Having a job within a RUSH beauty and hair salon requires you to promote the RUSH brand at all times, whether this is via suggesting another service provided by the salon or selling a product. Applying for any available jobs can be done via the company’s website.
