How to get immigrant jobs in Canada

If your big move to Canada is looming, then the prospect of sorting out a job for yourself is probably a massive worry or headache. Canada is a land of opportunity for jobs, and there are plenty of immigrant jobs in Canada available right now.

In this blog, we're going to be showing you where to look for these jobs, doing the legwork for you, so you can relax and start worrying about how many clothes to pack!

The first place we suggest you take a look is the Canadian government's own Job Bank website at www.jobbank.gc.ca/. This site gives you an overall picture of where the jobs are in your chosen profession across all of Canada. As a government site, it is regularly updated, and it's the only place you'll find civil service jobs advertised online.

You'll probably already be aware of our next site, but it's always worth taking a gander at Monster's site at www.monster.ca/. This is one of the largest recruitment sites in Canada and allows you to post your resume online, so even if you can't find your dream job, recruiters can find you with little hassle.

We next suggest you check out the Craigslist page of the city you intend to settle in. Each city has a Craigslist page with an extensive job section, breaking each profession down and allowing you to directly mail the person responsible for the job posting. You can also place an ad on the site, letting people know you are available for work.
