Check out these part time library assistant job search ideas

Looking for a job these days seems to have become a full time job in itself.  With so many people currently unemployed and there only being a limited number of job vacancies, it is not wonder that so many people are incredibly stressed with their own job prospect.  And with little to no immediate signs of any improvements coming within the next six to twelve months, you must take matters into your own hands to make sure you get the job you so rightfully deserve.

If you are searching for a part time library assistant job search, you must first make sure that can check all the boxes that are required of you for this position. The most important aspect of being a library assistant is to be personable, as you will be dealing with all sorts of people throughout the day.

You will also need other qualifications like needing at least five GCSEs (A-C) that includes English, a methodical and well-organised approach to working, the ability to be a team player, and you must have good computer skills.

Once you have been offered a position, you will then go through training, under the supervision of a senior library assistant. Also, there are other qualification that you can apply for through distant learning. These are the NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Information and Library Services and City & Guilds Progression Award in Library and Information Services. Depending on your qualifications, you can earn between £15,000 to over £18,000 per year.

Some great places where you can look for employment are your local authority public library services, national libraries, universities, and other public service industries. Some websites you can also check out are:
